Honey's Housacy Challenge Ch 3 Part 3

To continue from where we left off, here's a fresh collection of the unfolding story of my legacy Sims. :) Here, Lisa has just finished another painting, and it's one of the most adorable paintings I've seen yet. This one will definitely be going on the wall, most likely in the laundry/pets room.
Well done, Lisa.

After finishing her painting, Lisa went to the salon to style some more Sims in hopes of increasing her performance and gaining another level in her chosen profession. Everything was going well, until a Sim died, and everyone gathered around the Grim Reaper to mourn their passing. Why must Sims always die on community lots and at parties? It proved quite the interruption to Lisa's styling services. Oh well, it happens.

Meanwhile, Brent was jamming with his friend Phillip Serrano down at the beach. It proved a good way to socialise, have fun and even make some money from tips. They played for a good couple of hours, until it got dark.

With the drama now over at the salon, Lisa decides to get a tattoo. I don't use the tattoo part of the salon very much but Lisa rolled a wish to have a tattoo, so we got one. She now has a mermaid on her upper back, very fitting for her, and its colours of green and purple match her purple scales.

It didn't take long for these two to roll the wish to have their first child. With both of them doing so well in their chosen careers and with things managing quite nicely at home, I decided why not go ahead and let them get the ball rolling. But first, I must confess, both of them have the fertility treatment reward from the lifetime happiness points they've accumulated so far. For Lisa that is her only reward, but Brent actually has a handful more: immune to cold, speedy cleaner and observant. I don't buy too many of the rewards simply because I don't like the game to become too easy for me, or to have my Sims have so many rewards I lose track of them all.

Anyway, back to Brent and Lisa! The hearts confetti is falling, and we are waiting to hear that familiar lullaby. And there it goes. Looks like we can expect generation 4 sooner rather than later. I'm hoping they're going to have twins or even triplets!

Oh no! Here's something new - haunting the bed while my Sim is still in it! Lisa was not impressed about having her sleep disrupted in such a manner. In fact, I must confess I'm getting a bit tired of all the hauntings, not because I dislike the pets, but because my Sims kept getting woken up at all times of the night and because when they notice a ghost, they cancel all the actions lined up in their queues so they don't always complete what I tell them to do. Also, I'm not sure if Lucky the dog ghost has a glitch. He came out of his urn some days ago and hasn't gone back in. He's out all the time now. I'm not sure if I'll take all the urns with me to the next house, just because of those reasons.

The days pass and it doesn't take long before Lisa spins into her maternity clothes. They're not too bad as such clothes go. Both parents are looking forward to meeting their new family member(s). Hopefully we got lucky and there's more than one in there!

Brent got invited to someone's pool party. He was quite the hit with his guitar, having nearly maxed out the guitar skill. Most Sims listened and danced to him at this party. Not a lot of swimming was done but everyone seemed to have a good time.

Time passes quickly in this game and with a trip to the hospital, we welcomed two new members to the Housacy. That fertility treatment must have worked because we got twins! Meet Capsicun and Caspian, the two brothers of gen four. Capsicun is the eldest of the two.

Just a little picture of their nursery. It's not super fancy or decorated because we are in a log cabin and I wanted it to look kind of rustic. Also I was busy clicking here, there and everywhere trying to take care of all the Sims and their pets so...it was a bit thrown together. Still it has what we need, so it works. ^_^ Capsicun and Caspian are happy enough.Oh and we got the cute teddy bear high chair because one of my Sims wanted it, but as there was no room for it in the kitchen and not really anywhere else for it to go, it ended up in the nursery.

And now my Sims are kept busy with caring for their newborns. Lisa and Brent take turns with the 2am bottle feedings and diaper changes, while I get to sit back and admire how cute the babies are.

Lisa "And I thought I was the one with the evil trait"

Muahahaha! >w<

Oh yeah, another thing (sorry the lighting in these pics is kind of greenish, it was a full moon). The babies each got given an imaginary friend doll from a long lost auntie. One of them is called Cuddles and the other is Snuggles. I'm thinking that we'll let them grow up with the children and once they are old enough we'll transform them into playable Sims. But for now, they make colorful decorations for the boys' cribs.

Well they did make nice crib decorations, until I came back and found them like this! I don't know if it's because it's a full moon or just because they're meant to move around like that but it was certainly a surprise to come back and find the dolls out and about. Surprising and maybe just a tad creepy.

Not long after the twins were born, it is Brent's birthday, where he'll be catching up to Lisa and transitioning into the adult life stage. We got him a lovely chocolate cake and invited a few friends over to wish him well on his special day. (The man in the purple scrubs is Lamar Morrissey, Lisa's father). Brent thinks hard, making a wish. And Lisa is once again in her preferred outfit - underwear. She spins into this most often and I think it's because of that 'inappropriate' trait of hers. Oh well, at least it matches her mermaid scales.

Brent "I wish for...a midlife crisis!"

Yup, that is exactly what happened to him, a midlife crisis moodlet appeared and he started to want to do all these crazy things to try and recapture his youth. Some of them were easy, like growing some facial hair and planning his outfits, others were harder, like buying a car worth more than $10k Simoleans (which we did), and wanting to flirt with another Sim (which we didn't) and wanting to move to a new house (which we definitely did not!).

In the middle of his party, Brent's heading off to work. He has made it into the symphonic branch of the music career and just needs to reach the top of it now. So far his guitar skill is level nine and he's been getting more promotions so I don't think it's going to be long before he achieves his lifetime wish. Looking sharp Brent. Go off and get that next promotion! :) Lisa will stay and entertain the guests.

The twins are growing up. It's always fun to see what they look like after they age to toddler. Here's Caspian, the younger brother, who is a little blondie with light honey brown eyes.

And snoozing in the crib is Capsicun, who has got dark hair, blue eyes and mermaid scales just like his Mummy. Except that his are orange instead of purple. These two brothers could not be any more different to each other but I'm hoping they will get along well as they get older.

Lisa and Brent finally get to enjoy some quiet time in front of the TV. It's been harder looking after the twins than I thought and takes up the majority of my Sims' time. Between working on their careers and looking after the twins, it doesn't leave much time for many other things. And Capsicun and Caspian are growing up really fast, meaning we have to get them walking, talking and potty trained before time runs out.

Brent: "It's nice to put our feet up and relax for a while"

Lisa:"I couldn't agree more"

Here's a better view of Capsicun, drinking his bottle during one of the few times we used the high chair. Mostly they just got fed on the floor.

Since we had some free time and it was a sunny day the next day, I ordered Brent and Lisa to take the boys to the library. This is after reading on Carl's Sims 3 Guide that you can read all the childrens' books to your toddlers here. So I thought why not give it a try? :) At first, Lisa was going to walk the whole way there with Caspian in the stroller but when I saw how slow it was and how she kept taking him out of the stroller to carry him, we eventually just got a taxi. It was much faster and we got there in decent time but these two enjoyed their short walk nonetheless.

So now that we had got everyone to the library in one piece, it was time to try and read all the children's books to our twins. Well, that proved a lot more challenging than I thought it would. They would read the books to their sons in no time flat and in the time between grabbing another book off the shelf and sitting down to read it to them, the tots would find some other activities to do like play in the toy box or with the doll house or other toys around. This meant I had to cancel actions and chase toddlers around the library trying to read to them. All in all, we only got a handful of books read to each Sim child. Still, it was a fun outing for everyone and I think they did learn a little bit.

Here's one of the few times where Brent and Lisa managed to pin down their wriggly toddlers long enough to read with them together. I'm thinking I might get the kids to come back again when they're older and try reading some things.

And now here's a strange thing. A zombie popped up out of the ground during the full moon and then they turned into a ghost, meaning I guess that the undead...died? Lol. I'm not really sure what was happening. All I know is we had a visit from the Grim Reaper because somebody turned into a ghost on our lot, and that somebody used to be a zombie. May he rest in peace? Hey wait, is that a tombstone in my yard? I better check and make sure that's not still there next time I play. o_o

Aha! Caught you! I remembered to buy a burglar alarm after the last time when somebody stole our bath tub and guitar. This burglar wasn't going to get away with stealing my Sim's possessions tonight.

Although the noise of a burglar alarm going off is pretty awful and woke my poor Sims out of a sound sleep, it did the trick. The police were at my house in a jiffy to apprehend the criminal and save the day. We didn't lose a single item from the house, for which everyone was glad. Except of course, the burglar, who was caught and taken away.

I zoomed out to capture this beautiful sight after a rainstorm.  Sunset Valley looks so idyllic with the rainbow arcing overhead. <3 I'm glad my Sims have such a nice place to live, work, play and grow.

Brent and Lisa have their work cut out for them, training their two little ones in the ways of life.Caspian is more advanced than his older brother, having already learned to talk and been potty trained. We have been working on stuff with Capsicun too, but we are running out of time.

And here we have another new haunting - a possessed toilet! It seems nothing is off limits to the ghostly pets that roam our log cabin home. This one gave me a chuckle in any case.

One last shot of the twins before they grow up into child stage. Both have mastered the xylophone and the block toy. We managed to teach Caspian all the important life skills for the toddler stage but we ran out of time for Capsicun, who learned as much as he could.

Their birthdays arrived and we had some cakes to celebrate. I didn't get any pictures because I figured every legacy has lots of birthday cake images but now I'm wishing I had. Oh well. Here is Capsican, the brown haired twin with the mermaid scales. He ended up with a negative trait - grumpy - because of not learning all life skills in time. While the grumpy trait is not what we wanted for him, it could be worse. After all Agnes Crumplebottom had the grumpy trait and she was actually a fairly nice Sim. Capsican's other traits are:artistic and friendly.

Not to forget Caspian, our little blondie.  His traits are: adventurous, loves the outdoors and athletic.

Whoopsie, looks like we have ourselves a little glitch. I'm pretty sure Sims aren't supposed to be standing IN the sink when they're repairing it. And Brent, I do believe your hand is going through the window.

Brent: Don't worry, I know what I'm doing. I lost all sensation in my legs for some reason, but I think I figured out how to fix this leak.

The twins spending time together at their block table. This is a great way to increase fun and build social at the same time and the two are soon becoming fast friends.

Lisa is still working on that creativity skill. She's busy painting another piece of art to decorate the bare log walls of this cabin and give it a homely touch. She rolled the wish to make 15 paintings to decorate the house with, which I thought was a good idea, and she's working towards that end.

Brent meanwhile was feeling a bit flabby and wanted to get out of the house for a bit, so I sent him to the gym. He enjoyed his time there, running on one of the treadmills before some other Sim could jump on it.

The boys get back from their first days at school and have icky homework to do. But even though they moan and groan, they dutifully finish their work books for the day like good little boys. Here's Caspian with his look of concentration.

Lucky for Brent, his days of homework are long behind him. He gets to hang out with a friend instead and socialise. He has a handful of good friends that we're carefully keeping up relationship with, so he's always got someone to invite over or go out with. I forget this Sim's name but he's one of Brent's good friends and they're having a little game of rock, paper, scissors.

Capsican, wondering how much more of this homework stuff he's gonna have to do.

Brent makes dinner for the family - a spice hot chilli con carne that lights tongues on fire and makes steam come out the ears. It tastes pretty great though, luckily Brent is a good cook. I have him make batches of meals so our fridge is always stocked with tasty foods for those in our wee family who don't eat kelp.

The twins complete their homework together, making the task more fun and it goes by quicker.

We invited Trisha Morrissey around to spend some time with her sister. She was fine for the first little while but then, she found the trampoline. We couldn't get her off the darn thing! All she wanted to do was jump, jump, jump for hours on end. She jumped most of the night instead of leaving and by the wee hours of the morning she was fairly exhausted.

Oh, and winter is well and truly here. Our house looks like a cosy place with all the snow caking the roof and inside my Sims are tucked up safe and warm in their log cabin.

Oh no! We got a visit from the repo woman and she repossessed our chest of drawers. I still don't know how this happened because usually a notice pops up telling us when our bills are overdue. Oh well, we can just buy another one.

Capsican: "Can you believe they sucked up our stuff and walked off with it just cause we didn't pay a few bills?"

Caspian: "Yeah, it sucks"

My sims don't take losing their possessions to the repo man quite as well as I do. Even though we can get another thing exactly the same as the one they lost, for some reason losing it still matters to them. Silly Sims!

Since there's deep snow everywhere outside, my Sims take the chance to have some wintery fun and make a snowman. Brent invited his friend Phillip Serrano over to help him with the frosty project.

Capsican and Caspian stay inside and have a good old pillow fight instead. By the way, if you can't tell, the darker bed cover belongs to Capsican and the lighter one is Caspian's.

Did I mention that Phillip Serrano is a werewolf? There's supernatural races everywhere in Sunset Valley ever since I installed the EP Supernatural. Funny that. XD

Lisa comes outside and sees the evil snowman her husband and his friend created. There he sits in all his fiendish glory.

Lisa: "There's only room for one evil ruler in this family, muahahaha!"

Lisa had other plans for the snowman - she leaped on it and tore it down.

Lisa: "Well that was fun"

Everyone, meet the twin's friend from school, Cynthia Bustamante. She came over to do homework together and eat some of Brent's cookies. And to play with her two friends. First things first.

Lisa sits at the table and helps the boys with their homework and chats to Cynthia. She may be an evil, hot headed, inappropriate snob but she's still a good mum.

Our cabin has had a minor renovation.I knocked out the wall that divided the rooms into a spare bedroom and a small study in order to make one large study/rumpus room. Lisa's still working on making 15 paintings to hang on the walls. Brent's working on mastering the guitar skill.

Lisa hadn't been out of the house for a while and she has very low athletic skill points so we went on a trip to the gym.

Where she got to show off her beautiful mer tail, while getting some exercise. It's much easier to see in a swimming pool than it is in the ocean. Well, that's probably not true if you go scuba diving which Lisa has maxed out due to being a mermaid but unfortunately scuba diving doesn't work in Sunset Valley. At least when I tried to find the option, I couldn't.

Brent's invited some more friends over who he met at work. The werewolves have an interesting way of eating their meals. Face first, like it's an all you can eat contest!

Block building again. I think I got too many pictures of these guys at the little block table, I just really like this object I guess.

Capsican outside, building a snowman in the snow. We had to build another one after somebody destroyed the first.

And Caspian doesn't want to miss out on the winter shenanigans. He single-handedly begins building an igloo.

Wishes are appearing left and right for my Sims to do things in the snow. It looks like so much fun I almost wish I could join them.

 Caspian's igloo is complete.

Studying together with Cynthia Bustamante.

Brent gets in on the fun by making a snow angel.

Since everyone's in such a mood for winter holiday fun times, I sent them on a family trip to the park. There's always so much happening there every season. They went ice skating as a family and really enjoyed it.

It's been a while since I updated this saved page I'd been working on, so I can't remember what I was going to say here. It looks like a fairy just flew right through Capsicun! Those fairies, just because they have magic doesn't mean they should constantly use it! I think our werewolf friend next to her agrees.

It wouldn't be winter in the park without a good snowball fight. Once again, the whole family joins in. It's a good way to build relationships. The family that throws snowballs at each other stays together.

I'm not sure what Caspian is laughing about, or what he's learning, but he's having fun so that's the main thing. The park looks so pretty in the falling snow too.

A mother and son bonding time building a snowman. And Brent getting warm with a small fire pit.

Here we have another of the boys' friends from school; Thelma Ott. She looks like a nice girl, even if she doesn't know how to dress for cold weather. She joins in a game of ...wooden things. It's been so long since I played, I forget the name of this game.

Stuff happened and more stuff happened and the twins have grown up so fast! It's their birthday and the eldest, Capsican, has his turn to twirl and sparkle. Maybe I should have taken more photos. But I'm trying not to let this chapter get too long. It's only generation four after all which means we have six left to get through. Anyway, this is the last screenshot I took, so you'll get to see the boys all grown up in the next chapter. :)
