Honey's Housacy Challenge Ch2 part 17

Continuing the adventures and happenings of my sims legacy, here is a picture of the third generation heir. Brent just became a teen after a small party to celebrate his aging up. Brent's favourite color is red, fave music is R&B and fave food is spaghetti. So far he has these traits: good, virtuoso (meaning he's good with art and music), friendly and athletic. Friendly he gets from Alisha, and Athletic from Marshall. I thought it would be nice to pick a trait from each parent and give it to the heir, going down the generations until I reach number ten.

Here's dear old Marshall trying to repair our broken dishwasher. He's quite handy around the home, repairing and upgrading things, (as many things as possible due to rolling a wish to upgrade 10 items). But sometimes his handiness skills fail him, and he gets zapped. Looks like today luck wasn't with him. Thanks to the chemistry set though, Marshall is well used to being singed. He hasn't died yet!

I just installed my new expansion pack of Supernatural for this game and thanks to Alisha's stylist career, she met her first ever fairy! He's...not quite what I think of when I hear the word fairy but his wings are pretty and he seemed like a nice guy. Lol.  He was happy with the makeover he received.

Ta da, the fairy man, with his pretty red sparkly wings and some new athletic wear. Just thought a view from the front would be good too, so you can see his face.

Back at home, night falls and both of the ghost cats come out to play. There are three urns because somewhere in all these screenshots we lost Poppy, but I think I missed it. She and the other cats have been coming out almost every night now, and if my sims are up and not in bed, we do try to play with them. Well, Alisha does. Marshall just faints thanks to his coward trait.

And of course, we make time for all of the remaining live pets (one lizard, a bird and our horse). Alisha took Perry the horse out for their very first riding lesson. It was really entertaining to watch her hop on backwards by mistake.

Alisha: "Whoops. Where are the reins?!"

With Supernatural comes some super surprises during our first full moon. There's always new things to discover when you add new content to your game and expansion packs are great fun. Anyway, thanks to that full moon, we now have zombies appearing in the yard. They just popped out of the ground and started moaning and shuffling! I find zombies pretty scary so I kept all my sims indoors and Perry safely in his stable.

Here's a better look at the zombie without all the blue magical...stuff, around him. Brrr, creepy!

Just when I thought things weren't going to get any weirder, another zombie appeared out of the ground, right in front of the first. I am not sure why this happens during the full moon, or exactly how it works. We happened to be having a bit of summer rain at the time and he pulled out an umbrella.

And one more zombie, this time materializing out of the ground right next to the barbeque. I think we ended up with four in total, one more by the pool. Did I build our house on some ancient burial ground or something? ._. Or maybe it's townies that get turned into zombies? I should go watch some let's plays of Supernatural and see if I can learn anything.

Poppy's come out to say hello now too. We already have four zombies so why not throw a ghost cat into the mix? X3

Actually, make that five. They're coming out everywhere! My sims thankfully are all tucked up in bed safe and sound. I don't really want to let them interact with these guys in case they get turned into zombies too. I don't know if my legacy could survive that way since I don't know much about how zombies work yet.

Poor mister laundry gnome looks like he's ready to jump into the pool to get away from all the zombies, ha ha. I just had to take a screenshot when I saw him like this. He doesn't bother me. He pops up in different random places and looks cute. Unlike the little dwarfish gnomes. Those guys are as creepy as the zombies.

One of my sims went to the summer festival to have some fun and we spotted none other than the fairy man from before. I probably should have written his name down in my notes. Anyway, he hovers his way round the skating rink, zooming around in circles while holding his umbrella. It kind of makes skating pointless when you can fly but he seemed to enjoy it anyway. He made quite the sight!

And here's Brent with the friend he met at school. Lisa Morrissey (ha ha, I used my note book!), a nice girl whom he gets along well with and is currently one of three friends. I did happen to memorise her name simply because they spend a lot of time together. Brent rolled a want to have five friends, so I've been trying to help him befriend people at school but for some reason it's really hard. I use the 'talk to friends' option  a fair bit while he's at school. When I don't have to use the 'work on late homework' option, that is.  Anyway, here's the two of them sharing an autumn salad.

Marshall has been teaching Rin the Macaw to talk. We're starting out with things like greetings, or happy words. He's a fun pet to have and Marshall usually helps look after and play with him. Pete, our iguana, ran away after being kept too long in someone's inventory (don't know how that happened), so we got a new gecko named Connor.  I guess this family was too crazy for Pete to handle. Lol.

Alisha, being an animal lover, makes friends and builds relationships with pets faster than most sims. She usually likes to play with or talk to pets at her clients' houses after she does their makeovers. Here she met a big, friendly dog and had a game of tug of war with him.I thought it was cute.

Even though Brent's only been in high school a few days, there's already a school prom to go to. I'm wondering whether the prom is a random event because I seem to recall Alisha also having more than one to attend. All the same, he dressed up in his finest formal wear and decided to go.

And this is the transport - a snazzy white limo. I think it's a bit much for one Sim, don't you?

A few days later, it's Leisure Day, a day in summer where your Sims get to relax and have fun. So I sent Brent and Lisa out on a date at the summer festival. I tend to send my sims to the festivals a lot because there's always lots to do and see and everyone has a good time. They get things off to a good start with a water balloon fight. Look out Lisa - incoming!!!

Alisha stayed at home and invited some of her girl friends over for her leisure day. All too happy to spend it in the spa with the bubbles on and make chit chat. While the laundry gnome watches over them. o_o Hm.

Back at the summer festival, Brent's getting into the lawn sprinkler, while Lisa continues the water balloon fight with a new and somewhat hairier Sim. I believe this is the first time I've seen a sim so hairy.

She's got fangs, fur and claws! You guessed it; she's our very first werewolf sighting! And very unexpected I might add. She joined Brent in the sprinkler to cool off.

Oh dear, the horrors of face painting gone wrong. I'm not sure what that's supposed to be but it looks pretty bad.

Brent: "Is this supposed to be a practical joke?"

There, that's better! A nice plumbob instead of that mud pie.

After he got the right face paint, Brent went off to skate with the fairies. Lol. Well, the fairies just flew around the rink, Brent skated. So that's five zombies, one werewolf and two fairies we've spotted so far. And we also have vampires and mermaids, not to forget. My Sunset Valley has become a very diverse and interesting town these days.

Back at home, I went to see what Marshall and Alisha were up to and they were in the pool with the family dog. Lol. I didn't know dogs could swim in the pool, but it sure looks fun. A nice way to spend some quality time together and get cool, and it keeps everyone fit as well. Not to mention the view they get being up on this hill with the see through fencing.Though I doubt Lucky the dog cares about it.

Alisha just relaxing on her pool lounger. Every time I put these loungers out, Sims take them and put them into their inventories so I stopped buying them. I was happy to see my own sims still in possession of one.

All the fun in the sun has made Brent work up an appetite, so he gets something from the snack stand. Just looking at that makes me feel hungry. Lol.

And Brent walks away with a delicious plate of chilli cheese fries. Yum.

Alisha: "Yuck!"

What's wrong, you don't like the food?

Alisha: "It's not that. Everything here is gone off. You can't expect me to eat this"

I may have accidentally given my sims food poisoning by making them eat off leftovers that I found in their fridge. >.< Not the greatest ending to leisure day. Sorry guys.

Marshall helping out around the house. I like that they can do the laundry. It's sort of fun gathering all the clothes up and putting them into the washing machine and then the dryer. You can line dry them too if you buy a clothes line from the buy catalogue. But we don't have lots of outdoor space and it rains a lot most of the year so we have a dryer instead.

Marshall and Alisha eating breakfast together the next morning. It's not very often they get to sit down and have a meal together so I thought I'd take a snapshot. Marshall cooked the waffles, since Alisha still tends to burn most things she attempts to make.

Guess who's just seen a ghost? Lol. Even though it's just one of their dearly departed cats. Marshall's fainting spells always give me a bit of a giggle. They can be frustrating though, because instead of doing actions I've lined up for him to do, he cancels them out to plop to the floor, and it happens a lot....since the ghost cats come out almost every night now.  Usually, we just have to leave him there and come back later. What a ninny.

Alisha got to style her mother in law. Who happens to be a vampire...yeah, I think she's been one since we first met her. She wanted some nice new pajamas (of all things), so we picked some out for her and then tried to build up the relationship with some chit chat and other friendly interactions.

The only problem was, there was a bit of sizzling going on and clouds of smoke started to come off her. Noelle Decker didn't seem to realise that she was going to burn into a crisp if she stayed out here in the bright light of day.

I got Alisha to move under the shade of the front porch in hopes that would cool off her mother in law, but poor Noelle continued to sizzle, so we had to leave. I don't really think Marshall would be happy if his mother burst into flames.  Actually, I've never seen a vampire Sim die from being in the sunlight but I didn't really want to try it with Alisha's mother in law and Brent's only grandma. Lol.

It turned out to be a good thing we left Noelle to recover because later on Marshall got invited to someSim's party and guess who he met there? Yep. Dear old mummy. They had a good pillow fight while one of their hosts...went to bed and tried to sleep. :/ Yeah. It was an odd party, that one.

Marshall's been cooking in the kitchen again and this time he's made Alisha's favourite food. His meals are getting to be higher quality and he's learned a few more recipes.

Alisha: "Ooh, I love egg rolls!"

They really are her favourite dish.

This really should have been shown earlier. It was siting around in Brent's inventory because I wasn't sure where to put it. It's his picture from the prom. Looks like he had a great time.

Alisha and Perry are both learning how to ride together.  I tried getting them to do the jumping course but Perry balked at the jumps so I think they're just not ready yet (or I'm doing something wrong). They did have a nice time learning how to ride and race though. Whenever Alisha's not off styling Sims, I get her to spend time with Perry. He's becoming better at racing all the time.

Brent and Lisa out on another outing together, this time to the beach. I got sick of sending them to the festival all the time, and the beach was the perfect place for some summer entertainment. With Island Paradise installed, there's a lot more interactions than just 'swim' and 'fish'. My sims had a nice time playing in the sand.

And of course, cooling off in the sea. That water looks so inviting.

Marshall took the opportunity while everyone was out to go nekkid in the hot tub, ha ha. He did this all on his own. Silly Sim. He also used to do this when Alisha invited him over for dates.

This is kind of random, but during a summer storm, a big lightning bolt destroyed our umbrella! I wasn't quick enough to get it as it happened so here are the charred remains.  Poor umbrella, it had no chance. We replaced it for 40 Simoleans.

You may remember that some time ago Marshall's sister Jesse had mermaid scales on her legs. Well, scrap that, they disappeared and she now has a wand and apparently is a witch. Or is it a sorceress? Whichever one it is, she stood on our front step after one visit and spent all night practising her magic.Crazy sims.

Alisha has encountered another werewolf Sim while she was on the job! This one wasn't as friendly and had the nerve to growl at her stylist. Not to mention, I found out that you cannot style sims when they're transformed like this. It was a bit of a disappointment.

Not only was it disappointing, it was frightening for Alisha, who came only to do her job but got scared out of her wits instead. We had to come back later when the Sim had come out of her transformation and Alisha had picked herself up off the floor. Hehe.

Marshall "I learned a new recipe today. How was your day honey?"

Alisha "Oh the usual, got scared half to death and passed out at my client's house"

Marshall: "I know how that feels"

Marshall tried upgrading the washing machine, but I think he did something wrong. It's spewing suds everywhere!

Here's our third werewolf sighting, another of Alisha's clients, who transformed and couldn't receive her makeover. Though, she desperately needs one.

So Alisha went to her next client instead, who happened to be another fairy. She ended up being really happy with her makeover. Now, this looks more like my idea of a fairy.; sparkly and pretty!

Marshall meantime, fixed the broken washing machine. Good on ya mate.

Alisha tried going back to her other client in hopes that she might have reverted to her normal Sim self. But instead she got growled at by them! This time she didn't faint away though. This time she came prepared with a rolled up newspaper! Ha ha. It was the funniest thing I'd seen in a while. Serves them right for wasting her time.Of course, we got a notice that Alisha was behaving inappropriately but it was worth it. Lol.So worth it.

Alisha taking Perry out for a ride despite the summer rain storm. Perry is out in all kinds of weather anyway so he doesn't mind. He just loves getting some exercise. He often gallops around the yard on his own when my Sims are too busy to take him out riding.

Brent and Lisa Morrissey are getting along great, as you can see. He's just handed his childhood sweetheart her first bunch of pretty pink flowers. I've decided that since they get along so easily and interact so well, I may as well choose early and have him marry Lisa (later on). He still hasn't managed to make 5 friends yet, but he's managed to pick a future wife which I think is pretty good. Go Brent!

Autumn is here, or fall as it's known in the game, and so is Spooky Day along with it. Brent took Lisa on a date to the spooky day festival and had a bit of fun picking pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. Does anyone else wish that this scarecrow would jump to life and scare the wits out of Sims who go up to look at it? Lol. I really do wish that was possible.I'd love to see Sims running and screaming. I know that sounds bad. Lol.

One of the things that makes my tummy hurt to watch - yes, Lisa and Brent have entered the eating competition. Looks like they have to devour an entire blueberry pie. Since I don't really like eating contests, I didn't send them here - they attended it all on their own. I just get to watch. XD  Oh and there might be a familiar face in the middle of our competitors. It's fairy guy! The first fairy we ever met.

The contest begins! All the contestants are face down in their pies. Go, go, go!

And fairy guy is the winner! Well done to him, I say. Though how he managed to keep his scarf out of the pie is a mystery. XD Lisa and Brent had fun too, although they both made themselves sick from eating too much. What's the point of eating all that food in the first place, I say.

After they recovered from their bout at the eating contest, they finished off the date with some apple bobbing. Maybe it's not everyone's idea of a great date but my sims enjoyed it.

Lisa and Brent weren't the only ones having fun though. Marshall got invited to a Spooky Day party, where he donned one of the most fabulous costumes I've seen him in. Loving all the stripes and the matching face paint, ha ha. I am glad that he didn't go as a hot dog. As for the other two..umm, I'm not sure, but I think one's a bouncer and one's a scuba diver.

Brent doesn't seem to want Spooky Day's treats to end. So he goes out trick or treating. ^_^ There's only a few houses in our street and only a few sims actually home, but he did manage to get a few lollies.

And from our neighbour and Alisha's friend too. I think her name is Bianca Crouch. I think. There was a Karen Crouch somewhere too so I may have them mixed up. I just know this lady is always inviting Alisha to parties and she comes around to visit us quite often. :)

Speaking of Alisha. "It's my birthday! Spin and twirl and...Ooh...I think I cracked something"

Ya! She has finally made it to elder Sim. Congratulations on making it this far my dear simmie.

Everything seems to happen at once sometimes. Not long after Alisha reached Elder life stage, along comes her old friend to take Lucky the dog. Looks as though Lucky is going to be joining his feline friends sooner than I thought.

Grim Reaper: "Let me just get my trusty scythe ready"

Grim: "And now...I summon the urn! Muahahaha!"

Marshall's holding up pretty well. I'm surprised he's not fainted by now. He faints when the Grim comes to collect other Sims. Lol.

Grim: 'Here little doggy. Come with me now"

Alisha and Brent come in to mourn Lucky's passing with Marshall. As you might notice, Alisha's hair is different, since I just finished her makeover with her new elder wardrobe when this happened.

Grim: "Don't worry guys, he's in good hands. Aren't you little doggy woggy? Snoochy poochie, cutie pie" Apparently the reaper has a soft spot for pets. He used the smoochie interaction on Lucky!

Alisha: "I know you'll take good care of him, Grimmy" *sniffle*

Marshall "Why? WHY? Why can't pets just live forever so we never have to see this monstrosity?" *sob sob*

Grim: "Fetch boy!"

Lucky has now joined our collection of ghostly sim pets. Alisha still has two more pets to adopt before her life time wish is complete, so this will not be the last pet you'll see.

With his job done for the night, Grimmy takes some time out to relax, and plays around on the computer. I guess even he must have a social life. Lol.

Grim: "Just a few werewolves, vampires, zombies...the usual"

And now I shall leave you with a random picture that I don't know why I took! Marshall playing chess with an elderly merman. Who knows where we met this odd guy but that's definitely a mer tail he's sporting. Bye for now, and I hope you look forward to the next part of my legacy.
