Honey's Housacy Challenge Ch3 part 2

Okay, it's been a while since I updated this and I may have forgotten a few things, so we are going to start with whatever screenshots I had lying around in the screenshots folder. Lol.

Here, we can see Brent Decker has been invited out to a party at his good friend Mona Grave's house. That's the woman he's talking to in the picture (with the mermaid scales on her legs). And here he has met yet another fairy! Fairies, werewolves, witches, zombies, vampires and mermaids seem to be everywhere in my Sims' world now (Thanks, expansion packs from EA!) and we meet them all the time. It adds a bit more variety I can tell you. Brent is wearing his bathers because he decided to take a dip in the pool out the front of Mona's house, even though it's raining and it's a bit cold.

It didn't take long for this party to get really lively. Here, a couple of Sims got into a fight, though I'm not sure what caused it. I believe there was a werewolf involved.

While others took it easy and paid no attention to the rest of the world. This Sim thought it a good idea to take a nap on the host's couch. Lol. Oh by the way, this is the house that has the little indoor garden. I had the walls down last time I took pictures of it but here you can see they've got glass around the garden, sort of like a little conservatory.

Brent didn't pay much attention to the other Sims's goings-on. He spent time talking to Mona, keeping up the relationship level with her. He has had the wish to have 5 friends for a long time now and it is a bit tricky trying to achieve it. Trying to keep the friends he already has while making new ones has been a bit of a slow process. But parties do help.

In fact, another of his friends happened to be there. I don't have her name but she is a werewolf, and she received a makeover from Alisha during her time as stylist.  She took to destroying one of Mona's indoor plants, which was amusing to watch. Poor little tree.

Another werewolf was also at the party. It was a real mixed bag with all sorts of different Sim types. This one broke into a howl, which I thought was good enough to take a screenshot of. Ha ha.

Thankfully, before the tree could be destroyed, Mrs red hair came to her senses.  The tree's life was spared!

Back at home now, and here we have an extra urn on the table. I finally remembered the name of our invisible cat - Dexter. He passed away while Brent was at the party. I didn't get any pictures because I heard the grim reaper's music playing, but thought it was someone dying at the party (a common occurrence), not one of the pets at home. So...I came home and found the little urn and that's when I realised, Dexter had gone. He remained invisible right up until the end. I tried resetSim. But it didn't work.Anyhow, he took pride of place on the coffee table with his little kitty friends.

It didn't take long for the ghosts of the cats to come out and play. With so many deceased pets, we have hauntings just about every night. Something strange happened on this particular haunt. There were some dirty clothes on the floor and the ghost cat got into them and they started levitating! I believe this woke Brent up in the middle of the night, which is why he's standing there with laundry levitating through his legs. Whoops.

And he's still very upset about losing Dexter cat. Don't worry Brent, I'm sure he'll come out to haunt you in no time, along with all the others. We have no shortage of ghosts around here.
Aha, here's the culprit - Dumpling cat. Looks like all that poltergeist activity made them sleepy.

Time for a well deserved snooze on one of our cat beds. Zzzz.

Eventually the sun came up, the ghosts went away, and we invited Lisa Morrissey over to ask her about the scales on her legs. Lisa seems to think this was funny, but had no problem in answering the question. I believe this is also the day we got Lisa to move in with us.

Naturally, the next step straight after she moved in was to chuck her in the ocean and watch her transform. It was so exciting - we have got our very first mermaid! And such a pretty tail too. It was a little hard to get a picture, though I'm hoping to get better images later on, since I am sure we will have to take her here often to keep her from turning back to a normal Sim (I did some reading up on mermaids on the website Carl's The Sims 3 Guide here: http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/islandparadise/mermaids.php

Also if you want to know a little more about Lisa, her traits are: inappropriate, hot headed, evil (I never would have guessed it!), snob and friendly. I have never heard of a friendly snob before but here one is.  Her favourites are Kelp, Irish Green and Hip Hop. And her lifetime wish is to be a fashion phenomenon. Which means more of the stylist profession this generation!

When Lisa returned home, she was given a makeover and her friends threw her a bachelorette party. Here they are spraying her with fizzy nectar, just in case you're wondering what on earth is going on.

And that's not all that happened. This strange Sim with a glowing light beaming over him turned up at the house and I had no idea what was going on. I thought at first that he was another supernatural race, like a warlock or something. And I thought it odd that a man was at the bachelorette party.

Until he got out a little boombox and started dancing, and Lisa wanted to 'flirt with party dancer'. Then I put two and two together. Lol. All the ladies had plenty of fun watching him dance, and dancing along with him.

As you can see.

There was plenty of food at the party as well, thanks to the generosity of Lisa's friends. A tasty Autumn salad and someone even brought Lobster Thermidor. Nobody touched it, for some reason. It just sat there and looked appealing. Lol.  Oh well, salad's probably much healthier.

Since we had nowhere else to put the stereo, it ended up in the empty room at the back of the house. There were a few Sims who enjoyed dancing to the tunes of hip hop coming forth.

Though she didn't get to flirt with the party dancer (their relationship level was too low), Lisa did get to sit on the couch next to him and have a nice chat.  I suppose that's better than nothing.

After the party had ended and all her friends returned home, Lisa sat on the couch in her underwear (thanks to her inappropriate trait. She's always wearing underwear whenever I don't tell her to wear her normal clothes), and looked for a job in the Stylist profession. Now, I thought I'd be thoroughly sick of this after doing it for so long with Alisha, but I find making over the Sims of Sunset Valley endlessly entertaining, so it's not too bad. I did wish another lifetime wish for her simply to add a bit of variety. However, we do live next to the scrapyard so maybe I can get her into inventing as well. Just to spice things up a little.

Weird things are always happening in my game and this is no exception. Here we have Alisha's old imaginary friend, Hesper McLear. Only, he's not a doll any more and Alisha is no longer with us. He still walks like a doll, and he even has the light bobbing over his head. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or if it's supposed to happen. But here he is, visiting one day when Lisa went to her first makeover session at the salon.

Lisa didn't take long to meet some new Sims at Barney's Salon and Tattoo parlour (I think that's what it's called?). I particularly loved this fairy's wings.

While Lisa was busy with her new profession, Brent had been invited to another party. Where he met his good old Dad, Marshall, and they had a rather marvellous pillow fight in one of the bedrooms.

Marshall certainly enjoyed himself. Their relationship isn't high so it's good to spend time together when they can.
Back at the salon Lisa's done another makeover but it seems her customer isn't happy. Another fairy, with tiny yellow wings. Oh well, we tried! Lisa just didn't have enough job experience. Here, is where I also discovered something. I thought that you had to wait for jobs to pop up before you could style sims and increase job performance. But I was in a playful mood and gave multiple Sims makeovers and her performance bar increased with every one. So now I think we can reach the top of her profession a lot faster than Alisha, who took ages, because I was only styling Sims when jobs appeared. Silly me.

And a side view, so you can see just how tiny those little wings are. Honestly I think they look a bit ridiculous on this Sim man. Lol.

Lisa finished up at the salon after a while and headed to the library, because...well, she wanted to meet some new Sims and we hadn't been there yet. And what do we see? ANOTHER fairy, this time sitting and playing with the children's toys. I think the tiny wings look cute on this one though.

Oh and we bumped into Lisa's father in law, Marshall. So we stopped to have a chat to him. Lisa enthused about her engagement and then she asked for his blessing to marry her son. Although their relationship level was really low, he gave his blessing, which resulted in a good moodlet for 10 days! How nice.

And just because we've had all this lovely, nice stuff happening, I suppose something had to go and ruin it. Yep, it's a burglar and I have again neglected to buy an alarm. Duh! So now, we are about to have stuff stolen, which doesn't bother me in the least since we have enough money to just buy it back...but will result in negative moodlets for my poor Sims. Darn you, Hugh Sosa! (Ha ha, I actually wrote down the burglar's name...).

Well, there goes our bath tub. Doesn't really matter as we never use it anyway. But still, why the bath?

And he sucked up our guitar in the process. Boo! Oh well, Brent has a spare one lying round in his inventory. So no problem really. Looks like we got off fairly light, though my Sims didn't see it that way.

The next morning dawns, less one bathtub and one guitar. Apart from the negative moodlet, my Sims are no worse for wear and in fairly good moods. I sent Lisa off to the study to practice painting pictures, in order to increase her creativity skill for her chosen profession. One thing I love about this Sim is although one of her traits says evil, it's more humorous than anything. She paints some interesting pictures on the easel, ones I haven't seen before, and I have to wonder if it's because of that particular trait. Some of my favourite interactions with her are 'wash hands with evil soap' and 'take evil shower'. Lol. Funnily enough, Lisa's been perfectly lovely to Brent this whole time and she makes friends easily, so it's really more of a comical trait so far. She often gets the 'fiendishly delighted' moodlet at other Sims' misfortunes.

And what is Brent doing while Lisa's painting? Socialising with a few friends at the family tradition of horseshoes. He's trying to increase the relationship level with them to be honest, as it falls far too quickly for my liking, and he still has to make 5 friends and keep them all. He met the man in the middle at work, and happens to be friends with his sister.

Soon Lisa's finished her masterpiece and I have to have a chuckle at what looks like an evil tulip. Lol. We sold it for a couple of Simoleans.

And then we went and played laser with the cat, Mittens, just because we could and Mittens was bored.  Also, you get to see Lisa's outfit from the front. I've been meaning to take a screenshot of that for a while.

The game of horseshoes on the front lawn was going well, until this zombie showed up and started shambling towards Brent, with the desire to attack him. It was getting a little tense. Until I simply cancelled the action out and that halted Mr Zombie in his tracks. Ha ha! Oh and I found out something about the zombies that appear during a full moon. If you don't want them to appear on your lot, you simply put a fence around your yard. I don't know if it works because I haven't tried it yet but I'm thinking about it. I don't like zombies very much.

A new day dawns for my Sims  and here they all are gathered at the beach. But it's not just any party. Oh no. After the engagement, the bachelorette party and obtaining Marshall's blessing, the big day has arrived! Now, this is the first time I've actually tried having a wedding at a community lot with an arch and other items, so I was a bit confused on how to set things up and whether it was going to work if I placed items on the lot. So I just went with the bare basics; a wedding arch, a stereo and some balloons. Plus of course, all my Sims' friends and the happy couple themselves!

The arch, I realised too late, I had faced the wrong way. It was supposed to be viewed overlooking the ocean, but the flowers are all on the other side. Lol. Not that Brent and Lisa cared. They were having a nice, laid back wedding.

Soon, everyone had gathered to hear the two exchange their vows. Lisa was wishing for a wedding cake, but it was too late to go and get one now. Fortunately, we had checked the weather report and the day was going to be sunny and fair.

So in the summer sunshine at the beach, the two were happily wedded, with all their friends and relatives gathered around.

And sealed with a kiss!

Afterwards, everySim went to play, sunbathe, read, swim and dance, and just enjoy the beach.I think this turned out to be the best location, considering Lisa's a mermaid. It looked like everyone was having fun.

And of course, the mermaid fact was not forgotten - Lisa went for a dip as soon as she could. I tried to get a better shot of her tail, here, but it's still a little hard to see.

Brent: "Ah what a perfect way to end the wedding party! I think all our guests had a wonderful time"

Lisa: "I agree and I couldn't be more happy swimming here with you"

So there you have it. Lisa Morrissey is now Lisa Decker and officially part of our Housacy.  Sorry if it seemed rather rushed. Actually, there was a small error where when Brent and Lisa went into the water, they must have exited the lot to get to the sea, because all the guests left and it said the party was 'a modest success with the guests feeling good about having attended'. So it was actually meant to be much longer but oh well, things happen. Lol. At least now they're married. In a way, I think it probably makes up for all the time I spent on chapter 2 of this housacy challenge. That did end up being much longer than I thought it would be. So this one might be shorter.

That night, while the newlyweds were sleeping, ...aliens visited! Dun dun dun! XD Actually it was only one alien and he was quite well behaved but even so, it was strange. How many Sims get a visit from an alien on their wedding night?

Lisa was unperturbed. She was awake early and she got up and chatted to our green skinned guest for a while. Hopefully these two can become friends. I am thinking of including aliens later on down the line, if I can. Ah yes, that reminds me, I read on Carl's Sims 3 guide that when one parent is one occult race and the other is another race, the races don't mix, so you could get either one or the other, it's a 50/50 chance. So there goes my wish of having vampiric mermaids. Lol. Or alien mermaids in this case.

The next day it is Lisa's birthday. Which seems a little soon coming straight after her wedding. But the notification had popped up a few days before, and now it was time to break out the birthday cake. If you've noticed the cake is different, that's because it's a custom content I downloaded. I was tired of having the same old cake all the time and seems like other simmers were too, and they made these delightful cakes! This one is called the Summer cake. And it looks delicious. (There's a cake for each season). Thank you to Gosik for making them! They are wonderful. And you can also get them from here: http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims3-sets-objects-miscellaneous/title/birthday-cakes-*free*/id/1108184

Lisa blew out her candles on her lovely summer cake and then the sparkles appeared, signalling this Sims' transition into Adulthood. She is now a bit older than Brent, so I think we may have to welcome generation four sooner rather than later. And as if aliens on her wedding night wasn't strange enough, Lisa's favourite food changed from kelp to fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches after she aged up. I think she is still a mermaid though.

The newly aged up Mrs Lisa Decker. She spun into a new hairstyle and I decided I don't mind it, so we are going to keep it for a while. And in the background there is our werewolf friend, who I think is grinning, though it looks like more of a grimace.
Hmm, the cake seems to revert to the normal kind once it's sliced and served. Oh well, I'm sure it's just as tasty this way. Mrs werewolf is definitely enjoying her piece. She got up on the table and WOLFED it down! Hehe.

Later that night, one of the ghost cats got into the oven, another new trick that I haven't seen before. The oven was floating around everywhere, even though the wall.

The next day, Lisa heads off to do more stylist work on the Sims of the town. This man wanted of all things, new pajamas. I think he might be the fairy that was playing with the toys in the children's section of the library that time.

He seemed to like his new PJs. Another job well done for Lisa. She's not so evil after all.

And who should we meet here at the salon other than Lisa's brother Lowell. She spent some time talking and interacting with him.He is a quite nice Sim, and doesn't have the evil trait like his sister. They have a good relationship together, in fact she has high relationship scores with all her family members so I am going to try to keep it that way.
And then we met her sister, Trisha Morrissey, who happens to be a fairy and also turned up at the salon. It was like a mini family gathering.Lisa spent some time talking with her as well.

After talking with both her brother and sister, Lisa continued her makeovers. We will have to see what she's been up to when we return with more screenshots. Until then goodbye and thanks for reading. :) My Sims await me!
