Honey's Housacy Challenge Ch3, Part 1

Chapter three! I was beginning to doubt I'd ever make it here. But here we are. And with a new chapter comes more new changes in my Sims' lives. Alisha's been a wonderful stylist, giving makeovers to all sorts of Sims, all over town for most of her life. But now that she's reached elder status and the top of her career, it's time for her to retire with a little spontaneous confetti party on the front lawn. Perry even joined in to congratulate his mistress on all her achievements. Hurray!

Marshall: "You did it honey! Enjoy your retirement because you earned it. Oh and have some confetti".

Lisa and Brent, just hanging out together. And I notice something new about Lisa's legs. She appears to have a case of Mermaid Scales! Not sure when those got there or if she has had them all along. Truth be told, since I'm playing this legacy family, I haven't been experimenting with all the other things that come with expansion packs, so I don't know how mermaids work yet. Maybe she can turn her mermaid scales on or off somehow. It would be interesting if Brent married a mermaid. Hmm.

Alisha's not the only one with cause to celebrate. It's Marshall's turn now to enjoy some birthday sparkles. He was right in the middle of dinner when they happened but you really can't time these things sometimes. Lol.

Marshall "Hey, I wasn't finished my hot dog!"

With a flash of glitter and a twirl, we now have another elder sim in the family. Congrats Marshall. Despite all your fainting spells and lack of courage you've made it all the way to elder in my legacy. Hehe.

Marshall: "Thanks a lot. Now can I finish my dinner?"

Oh yeah, those blue plates...I've had them for a while now. They were a download and I thought they were pretty. They come as a set. But, for some reason, none of the other parts of the set ever appear, only the blue ones, so I'm probably going to remove them and have normal crockery for a while.

Brent: "Since everyone else is doing stuff I may as well too"

Geez, this family doesn't do anything by halves. On top of all the other stuff, it's time to wish Brent a happy birthday too. He's got a case of the sparkles that's going to morph him into the next part of the story.

While Brent undergoes his transformation into young adult, we welcome another new member of the family. Meet Mittens the cute cuddly kitten, adopted as part of Alisha's wish to adopt 6 strays. He'll be joining the Housacy, along with Alisha's other new cat, who I missed getting screenshots of. He's a grey and white cat and I'll have to look at my notes to remember the name.

And now I present to you...the newly aged young adult Sim! His life time wish is to be a Hit Movie Composer. This means he wants to reach level ten of the music career track (symphonic branch). His traits are:
Good
Virtuoso
Athletic
Friendly
Loves the Cold

He's started a job in the music career already, entering at the lowest level; music fan. Brent's other achievements are that he graduated at the top of his class (don't know how that happened), and was class valedictorian. His classmates voted him as most likely to become a sports star. I guess we'll have to see about that. And as always, to incorporate some aspect of his favourites into his personality, I've included lots of red in his outfits. ^_^ (Oh and that cat by his feet is Alisha's newest adoptee. I forget his name but it means she's completed her life time wish).

Here's a closer shot of adorable Mittens and Alisha, sporting her orange jacket while she cuddles her new pet. With her life time wish completed, Alisha is a happy Sim. And it looks like Mittens is one happy kitty as well. <3 Alisha's other cat is also well cared for and happy. I just have to get some pictures and remember its name.

Brent's invited Lisa over to check out his new look and catch up with her now that they are both young adults. She's looking a bit under dressed in all this snow. I hope she doesn't catch cold.

Luckily, my Sims have one way to escape all that freezing weather. A nice dip in a warm, bubbly hot tub. And they can keep each other as warm as their hearts. Hehe.
Meanwhile, what has Marshall been up to? Why, he's been trying to achieve the highest points in logic skill, so he can attain his life time wish. Which is...Perfect Mind, Perfect Body - to reach the highest in athletic skill (which he's already done ages ago due to his athletic trait and love of exercise), and to reach the highest logic skill. Something that we're still working on. It does take quite a lot of time at the chess board and telescope.

It's another full moon night and here we have one very confused looking zombie. I'm not sure he meant to appear next to the barbeque. Lol.

Zombie: "Hurr? Where I be? Dis not grave yard"

While the zombies roam around under the full moon, Marshall and Alisha are safe and sound inside, as Alisha helps Marshall get closer to his goal of mastering the logic skill. They're having a nice time socialising too.

And Brent is practicing his musical talents, to help him get farther in his chosen career. I'm hoping he'll be successful early on so he has time to try other things but we shall see. For now, he's doing pretty well at the keyboard, with three piano skills already from playing with skill enhancing toys when he was a kid.

Brent "Why thank you. I thought I was playing well too"

What's this? The house is covered in snow and the thick of winter is upon us. And there are fairy lights strung up everywhere. Like the balloons we put up at parties, these lights are a sign of things. Yup, it's Snowflake Day! :D One of the happiest days of the year for my Sims and their friends. Admittedly, this modern house doesn't look as cute as the little bungalow did. But it's still a pretty sight.

Alisha with one of her beloved cats. All of them are very much loved members of this family. Notice the little splash of orange in her attire? I haven't forgotten Alisha's favourite colour yet. :) Oh wait, I think I forgot to take off one of her accessories. She still has painted nails. Oops. Oh well, they look okay with this outfit.

All the decorations for Snowflake day are set up and ready, along with a pretty tree and a full buffet table. Now all we need are some friends.  Lisa was one of the first to arrive.

Although, there was a slight problem with our present pile. It appeared in the study, because there's not much room elsewhere in the house for such a large object. All the other Sims we invited gathered in Brent's bedroom next door, because they couldn't fit around the gift pile. And then guess who got to stand here and open lots of presents? Ha ha. Lisa certainly enjoyed this wee glitch.

Other guests included Noelle Decker, Marshall's mum and Brent's grandmother.

And you might not recognise her with her new upgrade to grandma status but here's Jesse Decker, Marshall's sister, who once had mermaid scales on her legs. I don't know what happened to them.

Marshall, what's wrong? You don't look very happy.

Marshall: "Let's just say I prefer it when Brent plays piano".

And we can't forget Bianca, or Karen, or well...Mrs Crouch, whatever your real name is. She's Alisha's friend, and she's here too.

Brent and Lisa have some fun in the hot tub again. Although, Lisa went skinny dipping rather than bother to wear a swimsuit.

Brent "Just like dad" "Ahhh, no, why did I think that?!"

And  hmm, I'm not sure if this is the next day or not. They also made a snowman, with Perry Galloping around in the snow nearby.

Alisha cooking a new food for everyone for dinner. It might be a pancake...but it's not! It's a mushroom omelette and thankfully she's not going to burn this one. I think pan fried things are mostly safe, as she rarely burns pancakes or waffles these days. Mind you, it helps that she's gained more cooking skills over her life time.

Oh yeah, we have drums too. :D And Brent's giving them a work-out. He's going to be proficient in as many instruments as he can. Or so I hope. He's off to a good start with three points in music skill already on the drums. I'm not sure but I think they may have come from when he went on a school field trip to the theatre. I don't know of any toys that build drum skills.

With Snowflake Day over, this marks the end of our wintery season. Spring has begun to melt all the ice and snow, to reveal a new green world underneath. And uncover stuff that was lost under all snow. I forgot we had that car.

The weather is fair and it's a fine day to take Perry for a ride, so Alisha takes our beautiful boy up to the riding school to try and possibly learn the jumping skill. So far, he hasn't been able to do any jumps yet, no matter how much riding we've been doing. So I think it's a skill only the riding school can teach. I'm not sure. Either way, Perry won't say no to some companionship and fresh air with his mistress.

Now what do we have here? It's the last ever view we're going to have of the modern house for this challenge. That's because it's time for Brent to move on out and start us off with house number three. It's going to be a surprise (unless you scroll down the page XD). Just wanted one last sight of the old place. It's lasted well and will leave a reminder in this town as a part of my legacy in my Sunset Valley. I wonder who will move in next once Alisha and Marshall go to meet the Grim Reaper.

But that's not gonna happen yet. Brent's off to begin our next adventure, and he's taking the pets with him. That's right, we're starting off with Mittens, other cat...that I will remember the name of soon, and Perry the horse. Brent's not going to be alone.

Brent: "Off we go, come on everyone, let's check out our new place"

And here we are, at the brand new empty lot, where house number three will be. Lots of rolling green hills, and plenty of trees make this a woodsy retreat from the rest of the valley.

And a more zoomed out view, so you can see just how in the middle of nowhere we are. Lol.

It's all very inviting and I hope I can make a house that looks good on it. Making houses is not the thing I am best at, funnily enough. But it's fun to try. I'll get to work while my Sims and their pets wait patiently and watch me from the sidelines. Don't worry guys, I'll make sure there's plenty of room in your new home for every Sim.

Ta~da! Here it is. The log cabin! Made of logs. Yup, the third house is the cosy, rustic log cabin. It's missing some things, that I forgot to add at the time of building and furnishing it, so if you see other items, like curtains and floor rugs and toilet roll holders appearing, it's just me adding stuff in as I remember it. Hehe.

Oh and as you can see, one of my cats has disappeared. The one I forgot the name of. He's not really gone, just invisible. I don't know how to fix it or why it's happened. But I'm going to try and get him back to normal if I can. Hopefully resetSim works.

Here's an inside view of the rather simple log cabin. On the bottom left going up we have the living room, then a bathroom, then a bedroom, and a spare room for later. On the right, is a guest room, Brent's music room, the pet's room and the kitchen. The spare room will most likely be used when the next heir of my legacy comes along.

We're not wasting any time in this stage of the journey. Brent invites Lisa over for a very special proposal. I figured they may as well get started on things early since their relationship is high enough. (Er...just ignore the fact that his foot is through the wall. Hehe)

Brent: "Lisa will you marry me and become my partner in this legacy challenge?"

Lisa: "Yes, of course! I'd love to. I've always wanted to live in a log cabin!"

With proposal out of the way, Brent decides to cook his new fiance a nice dinner. It looks like macaroni cheese is on the menu for tonight.

Meanwhile, Lisa tests out the new couch in the living room, as she patiently waits for dinner to arrive.

It doesn't take long and Brent is soon done cooking, having gained another skill point in the process.
Mmm, that looks good Brent.

Brent "Why thank you. I just hope it tastes as good as it looks"

The two lovebirds sit down to share their first meal together in their new house. Well done Brent, he didn't burn it. I think there is going to be many a good meal cooked in this kitchen.

After dinner,  they snuggle up on the couch to watch some tv together and chat about how nice dinner was. All in all, it's been a good time spent in the new house and it's off to a promising start. I'm curious to see what's going to happen in these walls made of logs. Raising another generation of Sims here will be interesting and once again leave a mark of my legacy in this town.

I am not the only one curious about the new house. Yes, we brought all the little urns with us to the new place! :D  Dumpling the cat has come out to explore the new home for themselves.

Dumpling: "Walls made of trees, meow? What a funny place this is"

Okay,I will leave it here as I need to go and get some more screenshots. It's a bit odd having a brand new house that's already haunted. We will probably end up with lots of little animal ghosts before the legacy comes to it's end. I do wonder what is in store for the future generations, ha ha! They will have quite the reputation by the end of this. Anyway, I had better go load up my Sims game and make some more story! Bye for now.
